Duke Rose Garden

Seane, Brett and Breandan stopped on a bridge in the Duke Rose Garden just long enough for a good picture. We stopped here a few weeks ago after Brett's allergy testing. It was a warm fall day but we had a lot of fun exploring. It will be a fun spot to go and visit again.

Brett's Big Boy Bed

Brett moved into his very own big boy bed yesterday. He was very excited about his new bed bunk bed. Brett was ready to share his new bed with Breandan. He wanted Breandan to sleep on the bottom bunk. Brett thought he would take the top bunk.

After we took these pictures, we removed the ladder and rearranged the top bunk. It just felt like an accident waiting to happen for mom's little monkeys... (at least that's how mom and dad saw it).

Brett's also said he's ready for his first overnight guest. Who wants to be first?

He also was very excited about his new Diego sheets! He liked having Diego share his new bed.

Daddy and Breandan also got a new hiding place. Don't they look cozy!

Hats and Bikes

It's been a few days since we posted and we've really just gotten back into our normal routine. Yesterday, the weather was great and we were able to spend some time outside riding bikes. We are still learning how to pedal but the boys are both really good at gliding down our driveway. Breandan has mastered putting his feet up so he can go extra fast.

The pictures are of Breandan playing yesterday. He loves to play with the dress up clothes. He often will come take your hand, say "help", and direct you to the box with all their dress up stuff. He often rides around with the police or fire fighter hat on.

Hey, I'm a big kid now!

Our little baby isn't so little anymore. Yesterday, we celebrated Brett's 3rd birthday. Since his birthday celebration he has found numerous ways to tell and show me that he's a big kid now. For example, he can put on his own socks, buckle his own car seat, take off his shoes and socks, use the potty, fix a glass of water, and walk next to me in the store. I wonder what confidence tomorrow will bring...

Brett's "Surprise" Birthday Party

Brett enjoyed an early surprise birthday celebration on Sunday with Uncle Phil, Aunt Elizabeth, Uncle Mark, Megan, Best Friend Jack, Jack's Mom Cindy, Michelle, Mom, Dad, and Breandan. We yelled surprise for Brett, just like Ruby's friend do on his favorite episode of "Max and Ruby". There was also a hilarious and action packed game of Pin the Tail on the Donkey. Of course no party is complete with out the cake and sing "Happy Birthday to You". Brett and Jack did an excellent job of putting out the candles. He also opened some fantastic presents. It was a great time for everyone. We were all delighted to be able to share Brett's special day with so many people that are so special to us! Thanks to all of you!
