Wow- He's growing Up

There are days when we are reminded just how fast Brett is growing up. Yesterday was one of those days- He and I cleaned up the playroom so that he could have the little legos out. He then played and created for over an hour. When he appeared from the playroom he showed off his latest creation... the horse truck pictured above.

I was amazed at the detail he added. I like the little gate at the back with the rails below. He also careful to use them same color now when building. We had seen a horse trailer earlier in the day when were out driving. I had no idea he was paying so much attention.

I am amazed at his ability to sit and create something on his own with no help what so ever. I knew these days would come but it is amazing to remember the little baby who needed you for everything- now can do so much on is own.

Snow in Raleigh in March

Raleigh received an extra special surprise...snow in March. We went to bed hoping that there would be a couple of inches in the morning... I could hardly sleep in anticipation of snow.

We did awake to about 3 inches of snow. The boys were excited when they looked out the window and saw the snow. We waited a couple of hours to venture outside. We piled on our snow clothes and went out. The boys were much more comfortable with the snow this time. We even attempted cleaned off Daddy's car so he could go to work.

We attempted to make a snowman but the snow wasn't wet enough. Instead we opted for a more adventureous sport- snow ball fighting... Daddy even enjoyed some fun before he left for work. Watch Out!
