Over the MLK holiday, we packed up and headed to Williamsburg. We spent the long weekend with MomMom, PopPop, Uncle Phil, Megan, Aunt Elizabeth, Uncle Mark, Matthew, Jacquelyn, Zach, Rachel, Aunt Donna and Uncle David.

We had lots of fun being together for the weekend. We had some great cooks and ate some terrific meals together. Everyone enjoyed the video game room. There were lots and lots of games to pick- something for everyone. Of course, we visited the outlet mall while the little boys napped and the big boys watched the playoff football game.
There was also a pool and outdoor hot tub. Jacquelyn, Phil, Megan and I braved the frigid temptures and enjoyed the hot tub. Brett and Breandan had fun in the pool and enjoyed splashing around with Zach. Thanks to Megan for sharing her pictures of the weekend.

Our baby girls...

Pepper and Daisy do a great job of keeping our lives interesting. They have been know to get into a fair amount of trouble and have several bad habits- like climbing tables and opening the fridge door. We do for some strange reason love them and keep them around. Here's some recent shots of our girls...

Pepper gives the best hugs...

It really cold a couple of weeks ago and we don't own any dogs jackets. They weather man on tv suggested you use your kids clothes... so I let the girls borrow some fleece jackets to go outside. They didn't want to take them off once I got them on...

Snow in Raleigh

Raleigh finally received some snow last week and we were in VA. When we came back into town Wed. the snow had started to melt. The boys were very excited. Neither remember seeing or playing in snow before. When we pulled up to the house they jumped out and ran inside for their snow clothes. We then rushed back outside to play in the snow that remained.

They were a little mystified as to what to do once they were outside. They made snow angels and tried to make snowballs. They had a little making them with the gloves on. They did have fun throwing them at me and each other.

Short trip to the Outer Banks

This week Seane had to go to Outer Banks for work. They boys and I decide to join him for a couple of days. It was fun to get away. We went and saw the wild horses at Corolla Beach. We only saw a few horses but it was great to see them wandering free. We also had a great time driving around on the sandy beach roads. The boys enjoyed the splashing and bouncing around in suv.

We were able to examine a Jelly Fish up close on the beach. Breandan was very curious and interested in the jelly fish.

Most people collect shells while walking on the beach but not Breandan. Every time I would show him a big shell he would pick it up and throw it back in the ocean....

We also had fun playing in the indoor pool and relaxing in the hotel room. The boys are getting better and more independent in the pool all the time. It was great to see them having fun. Brett loves jumping into the pool and playing shark.

Christmas 2008

Merry Christmas!

We had a great Christmas and we don't have too many pictures of the big day. We were to busy opening presents and playing with our new toys. We hope your day with your family was special too! The keyboard, Thomas Trains, and Pirate ship were a big hit. We also spent some time with the Kings later in the day. It was a great Christmas and fun watching the boys be so excited.

We also had special visit with Santa at Brett's Preschool Christmas Program in early December. He sang, "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" with his classmates and Ms. Wendy. It was a fun night for everyone.

Breandan Rides His Bike and Stomp Rocket Fun

Here's some rough video of Breandan riding his bike a couple of weeks ago. He's quite the bike rider. The quality isn't great because I took it with my cell phone.

This video is of the Boys playing with Cole and Grey's stomp rocket. The rocket was Cole's birthday present and was a big hit with all the boys. Brett and Breandan got one for Christmas as well. It is amazing how high the rocket will go in the air. Boys do a great job of taking turns. I think it helps that there are four rockets.
