November... where did you go?

Well, I just realized that we've only made one post in the whole month. I apologize for not doing a better job of staying on top of things....

Here's a wrap for November....
1. Our digital camera broke- oops, Brett was trying to take a picture and dropped the camera.
2. Our van was "wrapped" with a big sticker. We our now advertising for Curly's barbeque- It is quite tasty and very easy to cook. You can find in your grocery's store prepared meat section.
3. We took the boys to the Raleigh Christmas Parade- Brett was worried the night before because he didn't have a trumpet- I guess he thought he was going to be marching in the parade.
4. We meet Baby Matthew- this was first stop on our trip to MD for Thanksgiving. He's super cute and very quiet. The boys cannot wait till he can play a little more. Brett told me after meeting him... that he loved Baby Matthew. Breandan just wanted to make sure he wasn't going home with us- he doesn't like to share his Mommy for very long.
5. The boys and I went to MD for Thanksgiving at MomMom and PopPop's house. We had lots of fun with everyone. We loved playing in our special play area in the basement- thanks Aunt Amanda. We had fun eating turkey with all our family. We loved playing with Zach. Brett put on quite a show with his new rock guitar from Jacquelyn.

Happy Halloween- Trick or Treat

Happy Halloween! This was our first time celebrating Halloween. We had a great time Trick or Treating with our friends, Jack and Regan. It took Brett and Breandan no time at all to figure out what to do.

These are Brett's step by step instructions for a successful experience:
  1. Run as fast as you can to the door.

  2. Ring the door bell and try to wait.

  3. Say "Trick or Treat as door opens.

  4. Visualize the location of the candy bowl- prepare your hands for a quick move.

  5. Grab as much candy as you possibility can before they take the bowl away.

  6. Turn and run towards the next lighted porch.

  7. And, oh yeah- Yell , "Thank You" as you make a quick get away because your mom says so.

By the end of the night Brett's candy bag was twice as a heavy as Breandan's. We were a little nervous that Breandan was going to be scared but he did great. The candy was a great comfort object and motivator. He was also quick to learn how to say "Trick or Treat". He no trouble walking up to each door but ask to be carried as we walk from house to house. He fugured out he could eat more if he didn't have to walk.
