We had great visit last week with cousin Matthew and Aunt Elizabeth. We had lots of fun and did a great job of keeping the boys busy. Matthew is quite the little talker and I think he had fun playing with the boys. We are already looking forward to Matthew's little brother or sister joining us next year.
On Friday, we took the boys to Marbles- Raleigh's kids museum. We went in the afternoon and had the place almost to ourselves. It was great. Brett and Breandan don't stay at one place too long- but Matthew didn't seem to mind. They spent some time dressing up, driving the ambulance (Matthew liked the siren), and playing at the water table.
Matthew even enjoyed the art on the wall. He wanted to take break look at the cars and buildings. Breandan couldn't understand what was so interesting. We also had a lot of fun playing in the "peas and carrots". The ball pit is always a hit. Brett and Breandan also worked on their climbing skills. Brett was very pleased when he reached the table of the rock wall without assistance.
Brett had fun using recyclables to create a rocket (he had some help from a volunteer).
On Saturday, we all went to the indoor play pool at the Y. Brett and Breandan enjoyed the slide and swimming around. Matthew was a little more cautious but still enjoyed himself. Later in the day, we played with our water guns. We showed Matthew how to hold the water gun and shot himself in face. He really liked the water.
We also took several trips to the playground and even one to indoor play place. Brett also mastered attaching the wagon (with Matthew) in it to his bike. Matthew had many trips up and down the street. I'll add the video and pictures soon.

Easter Egg Dying
There's was big first this Easter. Brett was able to dye Easter Eggs. His egg allergy is no longer a concern- YIPPEE. He was so excited to dye the eggs. Uncle Phil and Megan showed the boys how to dye the eggs. Breandan prefered the green dye. Brett mixed his colors up a little more. It is exciting that we can now do this every year!

Spring Break Haircuts
When we see Uncle Phil, we for him to give us some "free" haircuts. The boys are pretty good at sitting still and know what to expect as they could have their haircut once a month.

Brett and Uncle Phil worked on a special haircut this time. Uncle Phil suggested it and Brett welcomed the Mohawk idea. He was very excited about it.
One night after it was cut, I went to rub his head and Brett said, "No Mom, don't touch... you are going to mess up my "incredible hawk". " Another night, he asked me if I thought he friends at the Y were going to recongize him, with his new haircut.
As we returned to our normal activities this week. He told me that his friends at preschool thought it was cool. We've had mostly positive comments. Although, I think it might be time to remove the "incredible hawk" and return to our normal haircut.
