Happy 4th of July

We celebrated the 4th at the State Fairgrounds. It had been several years since we had ventured downtown. The fireworks display was beautiful and long then we expected. The boys loved it. They were a little confused about what were celebrating and who's birthday it was... Once I explained that there was a battle for our freedom they were excited. They are into battles these days. I look forward to the boys gaining a greater sense of history as they grow up.

We took Daisy and Red Rose to the fireworks. Neither of the dogs enjoyed themselves once the fireworks went off. Seane had to take them and let them hide in the van. We were very close to the van- so it wasn't too bad. I don't think they'll be going back next year.

I was wondering what you guys ended up doing. Looks like the fireworks were beautiful. I love Brett's face in the last picture. Classic :)
